Which charges apply when importing a motorcycle, what drives the total, and which documents you receive.

## Customs clearance

Customs clearance is a mandatory step in legally importing a motorcycle into Ukraine. We handle the processing; here is how it works.

### Which charges apply

-   Import duty.
-   Excise tax - depends on engine displacement, type, and age of the motorcycle.
-   Value added tax.

### What determines the amount

The charges are set by the customs value, engine displacement, year of manufacture, and current law, so the total is calculated individually for each motorcycle.

### Documents

Processing requires export documents from Japan and an invoice. After clearance you receive the full document set for registration at the service centre.
